While my true passion lies with stills styling, every now and again I get the opportunity to work on a fashion shoot that’s just too awesome to pass up. Recently, I did props and fashion for a feature Anthropologie did on Ingrid Michaelson. What a treat! Ingrid is just about the sweetest little lady you could meet—and so incredibly talented. I’ve been listening to her album on repeat since the shoot. I find myself humming the tune to “Ghost” more often than not. (Full disclosure: I refused to listen to her much-lauded new album until after the shoot so as not to get too star-struck!)
Ingrid was also an incredible trooper, as we shot in a freezing and damp warehouse space. While I stayed bundled up in my down jacket on all day, she was all for shooting in little spring dresses. A truly inspirational woman indeed!
