I’m so excited to be hitting the road with April Smith and the Great Picture Show starting this Thursday in Columbus. Check out the tour dates. If we are coming to a city near you, come to a show and watch April and the band kill it. Then come say hi to me behind the merch table.

The tour is offically underway. Sadly we probably won’t be covering much of the tour this time. I (Shannon) will be on the road for the next three weeks and Carol is extremely busy with her final year in college. I hope you all get to go to a show and have a wonderful time.

Tonight at 8pm Eastern I’ll be playing a StageIt.com show! The premise is simple: I sing and play guitar into my computer screen. You look back through YOUR computer screen (while eating pizza and wearing pajamas, advisably)… And a good time is had by all!!

Recent development: Tonight I’ll be joined by special guest DAN ROMER. Dan is a best friend, a brother, and has produced all of my albums. He’ll be playing some guitar and piano and singing and probably telling embarrassing stories about me. Hooray!

Ingrid shares her Sunday routine with last Sunday’s New York Times.

I’m a big home person. I tend to be rooted in my kitchen or on my couch. And I love our apartment. It’s fixed up to be totally comfortable. People are always asking us why we don’t go out much, but the reality of it is we both travel a lot and we may go 25 days without seeing each other, so when we’re both home, we like to just catch up and have our together time. We have this great couch from Restoration Hardwarethat’s big enough for us and the dog to snuggle in. We get Netflix, and we might just sit and watch three movies in a day. I’ll take comfort over fancy forever: I think that’s what sets me apart from Lady Gaga!
